Hoiberg Wants “Solid Basketball” in Opening Exhibition Game

The Nebraska men’s basketball team opens its season with an exhibition game tonight against Peru State.

Huskers coach Fred Hoiberg was asked about the key things he’s looking to see from his players tonight.  “We don’t need to go out there and try to reinvent the wheel and try to go out there and do things that we haven’t been working on,” Hoiberg said.  “I just want us to go out and play solid basketball, make the right plays, give great effort defensively and hopefully go out there and play well.”

Tonight’s tipoff is set for 6 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
