Hoiberg, Tominaga, Mast Earn Big Ten Postseason Honors

Nebraska men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg was honored by the Big Ten yesterday, while two of his players received all-conference honors.

Hoiberg shared the league’s coach-of-the-year honors with Purdue’s Matt Painter, as the two tied in voting by the media and the coaches. Hoiberg guided the Huskers to 22 wins, the second-highest total ever, while NU’s third-place finish was its best since 1992-93.

Kesei Tominaga was named to the All-Big Ten second team by the coaches and third team by the media.  Rienk Mast was a third-team pick.
