Hoiberg Praises Hawkeyes’ Offense Going into Huskers Game at Iowa

The Nebraska men’s basketball team is coming off a home win over a ranked UCLA team as it goes on the road to play rival Iowa tonight.

The Huskers have won six straight games and their 12-2 record matches their best start since the 1990-91 season.  Iowa is 10-4 overall and 1-2 in the Big Ten.

The Hawkeyes are coming off a 116-85 loss at Wisconsin last Friday.  But NU head coach Fred Hoiberg pointed out to reporters yesterday that Iowa is second in the nation in scoring.  “They don’t turn it over,” Hoiberg said.  “They do a really good job of finding the hot hand.  They run a lot of very random-type action.  So, it’s a hard game to prep for just because of all the different things they do to keep you moving.”

Tipoff tonight is set for 7 p.m.  The pregame starts at 6 p.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.
