As the Nebraska men’s basketball team is emerging from a shutdown because of COVID-19, it turns out coach Fred Hoiberg had some serious symptoms.  They included chest pains, body aches, sore throat and fever.

Hoiberg has had two open heart surgeries and has a pacemaker.

The outbreak affected other staff members and nine players who tested positive.

NU is scheduled to play its first game since January 10 this Saturday when the Huskers visit Michigan State. Coverage begins at 4:30 p.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.
