Highlanders’ Hot Shooting Spoils Hoiberg’s Husker Debut

UC Riverside went 8-for-15 from 3-point range in the second half to down Nebraska 66-47 last night, spoiling the debut of Husker coach Fred Hoiberg. 

After the game, Hoiberg gave the Highlanders credit for “their mentality,” and said this is an opportunity for his club to bounce back.  “We’ve got to bounce back in a big way on Thursday and have two good days of preparation for this game on Saturday,” Hoiberg said. 

Southern Utah visits Pinnacle Bank Arena on Saturday.  Tipoff is at 1 p.m. The pre-game starts at noon on News Talk 900 KJSK.
