High Schools Open Winter Sports Season on Thursday

The winter sports season is set to open this Thursday for most high schools in Nebraska. 

For Columbus High, the girls and boys basketball teams will host Millard North, while the Discoverers wrestling and swimming squads will be on the road.  The CHS grapplers visit Grand Island for a dual, while the swimmers have a dual in Fremont. 

Lakeview’s basketball clubs are in action Thursday, as the Vikings girls and boys open their season with home games against Crete. 

The Scotus basketball teams also open up at home on Thursday, when the Shamrocks will entertain Hastings St. Cecilia.
