High School Softball Weekend Recap

In prep softball on Saturday, Columbus was 1-2 at the Lincoln Southeast Invitational. 

The Discoverers edged Norfolk 8-7, but were defeated by Elkhorn 6-4 and fell to Lincoln Southwest 6-2.  Columbus is 8-16 and will play a doubleheader at Kearney tonight. 

Lakeview won two of three games at Saturday’s Central City Invite.  The Vikings shut out Minden 13-0, then were shaded by Aquinas 5-4, before rebounding to beat O’Neill 11-1.  Lakeview will take a 16-5 record into its game at Crete this evening.
