Hausmann Gaining Confidence With More Experience

A silver lining in Nebraska’s 34-3 loss at Michigan was the play of freshman linebacker Ernest Hausmann.

The Columbus High graduate had a career-high 10 tackles, which tied Luke Reimer for the most stops in the game by an NU defender.  Hausmann also recorded a sack.

After the game, Hausmann said with more experience he has gained confidence.  He also sounded like somebody who bleeds Big Red.  “To play for this team, this program and this coaching staff, we all put a lot of work in through the offseason and through this year,” Hausmann said.  “To be able to represent Nebraska and this program just really means a lot to me.”

Hausmann and his Husker teammates have one more home game this season.  Nebraska meets Wisconsin on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.  Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.  The pregame starts at 7 on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
