Hausmann Earns Scholarship Offer From Nebraska

Columbus High junior Ernest Hausmann has received a scholarship offer to play football at Nebraska. 

NU made the offer late Tuesday night.  Hausmann said on social media: “After a great call with Barrett Ruud I am extremely thankful and blessed to receive an offer to play at the University of Nebraska!!” 

Hausmann played outside linebacker and receiver for the Discoverers, but Nebraska is recruiting the 6-foot-3, 205 pounder as an inside linebacker.  A report on 247Sports.com said Husker coaches told Hausmann they love his size and speed combination. 

Hausmann helped Columbus go 6-4 and win a playoff game this season.  On defense, he made 69 tackles, including six for losses, had one sack and had an interception. He was also the Discoverers top receiver with 34 catches for 447 yards and five touchdowns.
