Haiby Helps Husker Women Beat Bluejays

In women’s hoops, Sam Haiby scored 13 of her team-high 15 points in the second half to help Nebraska down Creighton 67-62 last night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. 

The Huskers’ win snapped the Bluejays’ five-game winning streak in the series.  Nebraska improved to 4-0, while Creighton slipped to 1-2.  CU’s Carly Bachelor had game highs with 17 points and 11 rebounds. 

The Huskers will host North Carolina Central Saturday at noon.  The Jays will entertain South Dakota State Sunday at 7 p.m. in D.J. Sokol Arena.
