H/LHF Falls to Wayne in Girls State Bowling Team Final

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family fell to Wayne in the championship of the girls state bowling team tournament last night.
The fifth-seeded Bulldogs took out Fremont 3-1 in the quarterfinals, then knocked off top seed Papillion-La Vista South 3-2. Defending champion Wayne beat the Bulldogs 3-0, but H/LHF posted a 3-0 win over Fremont to reach the championship.
The Bulldogs needed to beat the Blue Devils twice to win the team title, but Wayne again prevailed 3-0 to repeat as champion. Grand Island captured the boys’ team title last night at Sun Valley Lanes.
