Grand Island Woman Arrested After Driving On Wrong Side Of Road

GRAND ISLAND- A woman was arrested in Grand Island after driving on the wrong side of the road. On Monday at 9:56 p.m.

Grand Island Police observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at Hedde and Adams St. The vehicle would turn northbound onto Adams St and cross the centerline on multiple occasions. A traffic stop was initiated at Adams and Fonner Park Rd. The vehicle would continue driving on the wrong side of the road traveling below 10 MPH. The vehicle would return to the registered address and come to a stop. A strong odor of alcohol was reported by officers  from the driver, Angela Badsteen, and she had bloodshot, watery eyes. Badsteen would refuse to perform the standard field sobriety test and refused to submit to a preliminary breath test. Badsteen was transported and submitted to a legal blood draw.

She was arrested for Flight to Avoid Arrest, DUI, Refusal to Test, Stop Sign Violation, and Left of Center.
