Good Defense Helps Husker Volleyball Down Bluejays

A great defensive effort helped Nebraska’s volleyball team sweep Creighton in three sets last night. 

The number 3 Huskers downed the 19th-ranked Bluejays 25-14, 25-22, 25-16.  A crowd of 11,279 at CHI Health Center watched NU improve to 6-0, while CU fell to 6-1.  Nebraska’s Lexi Sun led all players with 11 kills and had four digs and two blocks. 

Creighton hosts the Bluejay Invitational starting tomorrow, facing SMU at 12:30 p.m.  On Saturday, Nebraska welcomes number 20 Utah to the Devaney Center, with first serve set for 7:30 p.m.
