The girls state golf tournaments are being held today and tomorrow.

Four Columbus High golfers are competing in the Class A state tourney at Norfolk, while all five members of Scotus’ team qualified for the Class C championship at Elks Country Club.

Jacey Hughes and Sarah Lasso of CHS made state by earning third and fourth place, respectively at last Monday’s district tournament.  Hughes shot an 82, one stroke better than Lasso in the A-4 district tourney at Elks Country Club.  Discoverers Kaidence Spiegel and Sarah Massman are Class A differential qualifiers.

Scotus finished third in the C-2 district tournament in Oakland last Tuesday.  Cecilia Arndt had the top score for the Shamrocks, with her 91 earning third place.

Boone Central won the C-2 district team championship, while the Cardinals’ Abby Brodersen shot a 77 to win the district title.  Fullerton’s Emily Beed also made state from that district by carding a 99 to take seventh.
