Girls Golf Team, Arndt Win District Titles, Make State

The Scotus girls golf team will play in the Class C state tournament next week at Elks Country Club. 

The Shamrocks won the C-2 district tournament yesterday.  Scotus carded a team score of 379 at Oakland Golf Club, while Shamrocks sophomore Cecilia Arndt won the individual title by shooting a 79. 

Fullerton also qualified as a team for the state tourney by finishing third with a 463, one stroke better than Boone Central.  The Cardinals had one individual qualifier, as sophomore Taylor Beierman’s 95 was good for second place.  Lakeview took sixth with a team score of 500, while Shelby-Rising City was eighth and Clarkson/Leigh finished 11th. 

In the C-1 district tourney, Central City earned sixth as a team.  No Bison golfers qualified for the state tournament, which begins next Monday.
