Gifford Blunt on Players’ Mood, Talks About Buckeyes
Nebraska defensive back Isaac Gifford didn’t mince words yesterday when asked by reporters about his teammates’ mood following last Saturday’s 56-7 loss at Indiana.
Gifford bluntly said, “guys are pissed off.” When asked what happened in Bloomington, he said: “They punched us in the mouth. They obviously wanted it more than we did.” Gifford, who had eight tackles against the Hoosiers to go over 200 for his career, was also asked about the challenge posed this Saturday by No. 4 Ohio State.
“You’ve got to be physical from the jump,” Gifford said. “They have a lot of guys that can make plays. You’ve just got to be sound in your technique, and physical and playing fast.”
Saturday’s kickoff is at 11 a.m. The pregame starts at 7 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK. It will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
