Former Nebraska quarterback Joe Ganz has been hired by Northern Iowa to be the Panthers wide receivers coach.  Ganz will be reunited with former NU offensive coordinator Shawn Watson, who was recently hired as UNI’s quarterbacks coach.

Watson was the Huskers offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Bo Pelni during Ganz’ record-setting stint at Nebraska.  Ganz threw for a single-season record 3,568 yards with 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions as a senior in 2008.

Ganz comes to Northern Iowa from Youngstown State, where he was an assistant on Pelini’s staff for three seasons.
