Nebraska football coach Scott Frost says the Huskers’ offense “needs to hit some more big plays.”

Speaking with reporters over video conference yesterday as NU gets ready to face Illinois, Frost also said Nebraska’s opponents have shown them some defensive looks at least the past two weeks that the Huskers weren’t expecting.

“That’s kind of what we’ve always dealt with running the offense that we’ve run with a little more heavy read and quarterback run and those things,” Frost said. “Illinois definitely played us a little different last year than they did the first year, and I kind of expect maybe some change-up this week.  We just have to be ready to manage it.”

Tomorrow’s kickoff is set for 11 a.m.  The pre-game starts at 6 on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
