The Nebraska football team continues practicing in advance of this week’s game at Purdue.  NU comes into the contest at 1-4, while the Boilermakers are 2-3.

Asked yesterday about center Cam Jurgens’ issues snapping the football, Frost said “we need to get it fixed.”  But, Frost also said Jurgens is too good of a player to even consider moving him out of that role.  He was asked what makes him so valuable at center.

“He’s smart, he’s extremely athletic and he’s exceptionally explosive,” Frost said. “He’s still, in some ways, learning the position.  He didn’t play it until last season.  But, he’s got the skill set to be really special at that position.”

Saturday’s kickoff is slated for 11 a.m.  The pre-game starts at 6 o’clock on News Talk 900 KJSk and will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
