Frost: Huskers “Refreshed,” Martinez “100 %” This Week

Nebraska football will host Purdue this Saturday.  Coach Scott Frost was asked yesterday what he thought of how the Huskers looked after a bye week

“I thought the guys have more of a spring in their step again,” Frost said.  “They were a little worn down and tired.  That is natural with eight straight weeks and starting (the season) a week early.  So I think it was good for our guys just to get refreshed.”

Frost also said quarterback Adrian Martinez, slowed by injuries recently, is going to be 100 percent for Saturday’s game against the Boilermakers.  NU leads the all-time series 5-4, including a 37-27 victory at Purdue last December.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.  The pregame show starts at 10:30 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 2 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
