Frost: Huskers Planning to “let it rip” vs. Northwestern

Nebraska kicks off its season against Northwestern Saturday in Dublin, Ireland.
The Huskers lost to Illinois 30-22 in a Week Zero game last season, setting the stage for a 3-9 season. Meeting with the media last night, coach Scott Frost said NU was “a little too tight” going into that game. This year, he says “we’re going to go out there and let it rip.”
Over the weekend, linebacker Nick Henrich, edge rushers Garrett Nelson and Caleb Tannor and tight end Travis Vokolek were named team captains.
Saturday’s kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. The pregame starts at 7:30 on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 11:00 a.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
