Nebraska football used a strong month of December in recruiting to wind up with a signing day class that is ranked by Rivals as 17th and by 247 Sports as 20th in the nation.

Coach Scott Frost says he’s really excited about the class.  “They love football, they love the game…they’re excited, they want to be at Nebraska,” Frost said.

Frost credited defensive backs coach Travis Fisher for helping NU sign seven players from Florida.  That includes speedy receiver Marcus Fleming, who announced his decision yesterday.

Another player with a chance to make an immediate impact for the Huskers is junior college receiver Omar Manning from Texas.

Nebraska will also welcome 19 walk-ons to Lincoln as Frost continues to rebuild that program.
