Former UVA Receiver Kemp Transfers to Nebraska

Former Virginia wide receiver Billy Kemp is transferring to Nebraska.  After playing five seasons for the Cavaliers, Kemp announced in a social media post last night he’ll play his final season for the Huskers.

Virginia seniors were recently granted an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA after the Cavs’ final two games were canceled following the November shooting death of three players.  Kemp’s commitment post included a photo of him with three Nebraska jerseys with the numbers 41, 1 and 15 as a tribute to those three – D’Sean Perry, Lavel Davis, Jr. and Devin Chandler.

In 50 games with Virginia, Kemp ranked fourth in program history with 192 receptions.  He compiled 1,174 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.  He was also UVA’s top punt returner.
