Former Nebraska bowler Shannon Pluhowsky earned runner-up honors at the PWBA tour championship last night.

Pluhowsky fell to Stephanie Zavala 252-181 in the nationally televised event.  Pluhowsky was seeking to become the first women’s bowler to win a second straight PWBA tour championship.

She led the Huskers to back-to-back NCAA titles in 2004 and 2005, and also served as an assistant coach on NU’s 2021 national championship team.
