Former Husker McVeigh Makes Australia Hoops’ Roster for Olympics

Former Nebraska men’s basketball player Jack McVeigh was selected to Australia’s 12-man roster for the Paris Olympics on Sunday.

McVeigh became the fourth former  Husker to reach the Olympic Games.  The other three were Aleks Maric with Australia and Ade Dagunduro with Nigeria – both in 2012 – and Keisei Tominaga with Japan in 2020.

McVeigh is potentially the first of three Huskers in the 2024 Olympics, as Tominaga and Lat Mayen are currently in training camps for Japan and South Sudan, respectively.

McVeigh played three seasons at NU from 2016 through 2018.
