Former Husker Adrian Martinez Tabbed MVP of UFL

Former Husker and Kansas State quarterback Adrian Martinez has been honored with the United Football League’s inaugural MVP award. 

The Birmingham Stallions quarterback led the league in the regular season with 528 rushing yards, was third with 1,749 passing yards and tied for second with 15 passing touchdowns. 

Martinez led the Stallions to a 9-1 regular season record.  Birmingham defeated Michigan last Saturday to win its conference title.  The Stallions meet San Antonio in the inaugural UFL Championship Game Sunday in St. Louis.
