Football Playoffs Kick Off Today for Eight-Man Teams

The state high school football playoffs get underway today for eight-man teams. 

Three games will be broadcast by Alpha Media. On KLIR 101, it’s a 4 p.m. kickoff as Osceola High-Plains welcomes Elkhorn Valley to Clarks.  In another D1 matchup, Cross County hosts Laurel-Concord-Coleridge on 93.5 The Hawk. Kickoff is at 6. And on KZ-100, Riverside visits Clarkson-Leigh in a D2 contest that starts at 7. 

In other D1 games involving area teams, Howells-Dodge entertains Homer, East Butler visits Elmwood-Murdock, Nebraska Christian plays at Cambridge and Fullerton hosts Morrill. In D2 action, Humphrey St. Francis welcomes Elgin Public/Pope John.
