Nebraska’s state champions in high school football last Friday night – from Class A through D6 – were: Omaha Westside, Elkhorn, Pierce, Ord, Dundy County-Stratton, BDS and McCool Junction. 

Meantime, the Omaha World-Herald’s final football ratings are out today.  St. Paul finished second to Pierce in Class C-1, while Central City is ranked 10th.  Aquinas winds up ranked fourth in C-2. 

Cross County is rated third and Howells-Dodge earned number 10 in D-1.  In D2, Central Valley finished two spots behind number 1 BDS, while Osceola is fifth and Humphrey St. Francis is number 7. 

McCool Junction’s first state championship earned a number 1 ranking in D6, while Spalding Academy finished tenth.
