Foley Sees Nebraska Kicker Alvano Making Improvements

Nebraska special teams coordinator Ed Foley says it’s great having a new practice field for his unit.

Foley says punter Brian Buschini and kicker Tristan Alvano can now practice their kicks with the wind, against the wind and with a cross-wind.

He sees Alvano making improvements going into his sophomore season.  “Tristan coming out of the (2023) season at 60%, that’s not good enough for us to win more than five games probably,” Foley said.  “We have to get that percentage up significantly,” Foley said, adding: “He’s having a good spring for us.  He has made some improvements in his technique and he’s stronger.”

The Huskers will continue with spring practice on Thursday.
