Flyers Standout Weidner Commits to Nebraska

Humphrey St. Francis basketball star Allison Weidner has committed to Nebraska.  The junior guard announced her decision on Twitter yesterday afternoon.

Weidner had received a scholarship offer from NU in late July.  She also received offers from several other schools, including Creighton.

As a sophomore last season, Weidner averaged 19.8 points for the Flyers.  The 5-foot-9 standout also had 6.4 assists, 5.8 steals and 5.7 rebounds per game helping St. Francis go 23-4 and make the state tournament.

She has also starred in volleyball and track.
