CJ Fleeman had a good night at the plate, but not as good on the mound for Columbus last night. Fleeman went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run, but was pitching in the sixth inning when Omaha Westside rallied for four runs and a 5-3 win over the Discoverers.
Ryan Eickhoff held the Warriors to one run through the first four innings. Fleeman pitched a scoreless fifth inning and CHS scored a run in the bottom of that frame for a 3-1 lead. But Westside tallied four runs in the sixth, before Fleeman blanked the Warriors in the seventh.
Columbus is now 5-7. The Discoverers visit Waverly today.
