Five Girls State Hoops Games on Alpha Media Today

The girls state basketball tournament opened yesterday in Lincoln with all four Class A quarterfinal games and two Class B quarterfinals played.  All of the other quarterfinal contests are being decided today, with the play-by-play of five games aired on Alpha Media. 

Two games have 11 a.m. tipoffs: Humphrey St. Francis, the number-1 seed in D2, faces Sterling on KLIR 101 and in C2, number-8 Centennial meets Crofton on 93.5 The Hawk. 

It’s a 1:30 p.m. start for a D1 battle between fifth-seeded Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family and Archbishop Bergan on The Hawk. 

Another D1 quarterfinal pits number-7 seed BDS against Weeping Water on The Hawk at 4 p.m.  At the same time on KLIR, the fifth-seeded North Bend Central girls will take on Broken Bow in a C1 game.
