Five Former Bluejays Make MLB Rosters

Creighton athletics did some research this week and reports that five former Bluejays were on Major League Baseball rosters as of July 21st. 

They are: Nicky Lopez of the Kansas City Royals, Ty Blach of the Baltimore Orioles, Darin Ruf of the San Francisco Giants and two Los Angeles Angels in Anthony Bemboom and Elliot Soto. 

Creighton’s five is the second most of any team in the Big East, as new conference member UCONN leads with eight.  CU also was in the top 50 among college baseball teams nationally, ranking 46th.
