Feist Healthy and Taking on Leadership Role on NU’s Defense

Nebraska defensive lineman Colton Feist says he’s healthy this fall after dealing with a foot injury last season.

On Thursday’s Sports Nightly aired on News Talk 900 KJSK, Feast said he’s excited about the season.  The junior walk-on from Yutan also said he has adopted a bigger role as a leader of the Huskers’ defense.

“I’ve been here for four years and haven’t been on the field as much as I want due to maybe a couple things,” Feist said. “I’m just kind of taking on that leadership role now.  I’m one of the oldest guys in the room.  It’s my time to shine, so I’ve been taking on that role and trying to help the younger guys too.”

After not practicing yesterday, the Huskers will be back on the practice field today.  Nebraska kicks off its season on August 27th in Dublin, Ireland against Northwestern.
