Faust Tosses Complete Game to Help Junior Blues Split

The Columbus United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues split their home doubleheader against Grand Island last night.

The visiting Five Points Bank team took the opener 5-0, before the Junior Blues won the nightcap 4-2.  That tilt was scoreless until the sixth inning, when G.I. scored two runs.  But, the Junior Blues answered with four runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Jack Faust posted the complete-game win, allowing four hits in seven innings.  He didn’t walk a batter and struck out four.

The Junior Blues are 7-11 and will visit Fremont for a twinbill on Friday.

Meantime, the Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors will host Grand Island U-Save in a doubleheader today.  First pitch at Pawnee Park Field is set for 5 p.m.
