Fall Practice Gets Underway for High School Teams

Fall practice opened for high school teams in Nebraska on Monday. The regular season will begin for some local teams as soon as next Thursday.
That’s when the Columbus High girls golf team will compete in a triangular against Grand Island and Kearney at Jackrabbit Run Golf Course. And the Discoverers softball club will visit Lincoln North Star for a doubleheader. The regular season also gets underway on August 19th for two Lakeview squads, as the girls golf team will play in a scramble at Central City and the Vikings softball club visits Grand Island Central Catholic.
The first Scotus Central Catholic team to open its season will be the girls golf club, which visits Norfolk Catholic for a dual on Tuesday, August 24th.
