Experienced, Efficient Monarchs to Host Shamrocks Friday

In prep football, Aquinas will host Scotus tomorrow night as the Monarchs and Shamrocks renew their Centennial Conference rivalry. 

Scotus has had an up-and-down start to the season, as the Shamrocks were blanked 40-0 at Wahoo, but bounced back to trounce Omaha Concordia 61-0. 

Aquinas is 2-0 and ranked number 2 in Class C2.  The Monarchs have notched two impressive road victories, winning 27-13 at Bishop Neumann and 27-0 at Centennial. 

Aquinas coach Ron Mimick says he has a “pretty experienced team that hasn’t made many mistakes.”  That includes no turnovers by the Aquinas offense. 

Tomorrow night’s contest will be aired on KLIR.  Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
