Griffin Everitt will return to Nebraska’s baseball team for a final season next spring, according to a published report. Everitt told the Omaha World-Herald of his decision on Sunday.
The Huskers catcher was not selected in last month’s MLB draft. Everitt hit .291 with eight home runs and 41 RBI in 53 games for NU last season.
The Lincoln Southwest grad recently finished a successful summer playing for the Santa Barbara Foresters of the California Collegiate League, helping the team win the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita on Saturday night.
