Eight-Man Playoffs Highlight Thursday’s Prep Football

In high school football, the playoffs got underway yesterday in Class D1 and D2.  

In D1, Cross County downed Clarkson/Leigh 56-6, Howells-Dodge beat GACC 42-14, Nebraska Christian topped Hemingford 24-14 and Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family fell to Lourdes Central Catholic 54-34.

D2 scores: Humphrey St. Francis rolled over Niobrara-Verdigre 74-6, Osceola blanked Pender 52-0, Fullerton fell at Falls City Sacred Heart 60-14 and Riverside was knocked off by Ansley-Litchfield 34-12.

In regular season games, Boone Central thumped O’Neill 54-7, David City lost to Oakland-Craig 48-0 and Spalding Academy shutout Stuart 42-0.
