Eight Man Football Playoffs Kick Off on Thursday
The eight-man football playoffs get underway Thursday, while the three city teams will play their regular season finales on Friday.
Three playoff games will be aired Thursday on Alpha Media stations. On KZ-100, it’s a 6 p.m. kickoff as Fullerton visits BDS in a D2 game. It’s also a 6 p.m. kickoff on KLIR 101 for a D1 matchup as Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family visits Lutheran High Northeast. In another D1 contest, Clarkson/Leigh plays at Cross County at 7 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
Other first round playoff games in D1 include Nebraska Christian hosting Arcadia-Loup City and Howells-Dodge entertaining Elmwood-Murdock. Other D2 games have Humphrey St. Francis hosting Allen, Riverside at home against Sandhills Valley and Osceola welcoming Homer.
On Friday, Columbus High entertains North Platte and Scotus visits Lakeview on KLIR 101.
