Eickhoff Pitches Columbus Seniors to Win Over Fremont

Ryan Eickhoff pitched a complete game last night, leading the Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors to a 2-1 home win over Fremont.
Eickhoff scattered seven hits and recorded seven strikeouts. Cody Zrust collected three of Cornerstone’s seven hits. Columbus broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the fourth inning, as Sawyer Kimberling and Juri Rivera each had an RBI.
The Seniors are now 17-6 and will be in action at Pawnee Park Field again tonight at 7 p.m. against Hastings.
In last night’s early game, the One United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues were downed by Fremont 9-2. The Juniors are 8-18 and will play a doubleheader at Grand Island tomorrow.
