Dvoracek: Bullock a Leader of Huskers’ Linebacker Corps
Nebraska’s linebacker corps will play this season without Nick Henrich, whose knee injuries ended his college career early and Luke Reimer, who has graduated.
The Huskers linebacker coach Rob Dvoracek, speaking on Thursday’s Sports Nightly on News Talk 900 KJSK, said John Bullock will be a leader of his unit as a senior this season. Dvoracek said Bullock was moved from safety to linebacker as a junior, so he was trying to figure out a new position.
“Now, he’s got the experience, he played in games, he started games,” Dvoracek said. “So now he’s in the role of trying to help the younger guys. He’s way more confident than he’s ever been. He trusts himself, he knows the system, he knows exactly what to do and how to do it.”
Mikai Gbayor and Javin Wright, who like Bullock came to NU as a cornerback and safety, will also be leaders of the Huskers linebackers this season.
