Doug McDermott’s No. 3 Jersey Will Be Retired
Creighton men’s basketball will retire Doug McDermott’s No. 3 jersey.
It will be done before the Bluejays home game against Villanova on December 20th. McDermott was a three-time All-American from 2012 through 2014 and was the consensus National Player of the Year in 2014.
The son of current CU head coach Greg McDermott, Doug finished his career with 3,150 points, which was fifth in NCAA history.
He’s currently in his 10th year in the NBA, as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. He’s the sixth Jays player to have his number retired.
