Discoverers Suffer Walkoff Loss in 8th Inning at Westside

Columbus High’s baseball team, which had celebrated a walkoff win over Blair on Saturday, suffered a walkoff loss at Westside last night.
The Warriors edged the Discoverers 3-2 by scoring the winning run in the bottom of the eighth. CHS scored twice in the top of the third, but the Omaha team tied it with two runs in the sixth. Columbus slipped to 5-7 with its fifth loss in the last six games.
The Discoverers welcome Waverly to Pawnee Park today. First pitch is slated for 4:30 p.m.
