Discoverers Make Four-Run First Inning Stand Up

Columbus scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to a 4-2 victory over Hastings last night.

Discoverers starter Ryan Eickhoff pitched six-and-two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on three hits.  The junior did not walk a batter and struck out six, before Caleb Van Dyke got the final out to notch a save.

Columbus is 9-8 and will compete in the HAC Tournament that starts tomorrow in Lincoln.
