Discoverers Host Omaha Northwest in District Opener Tonight

The Columbus High boys basketball club hosts Omaha Northwest tonight in the opening game of the A-2 district tournament.
The Discoverers are 5-17 and are looking to halt an 11-game losing streak. The Huskies are 4-18, but have won two of their last four games. It’s the first meeting between the two teams since Columbus beat Northwest 53-35 in a district opener last year.
Tonight’s tipoff is at 6 p.m. and you can hear play-by-play on KLIR 101.
Coming up tomorrow on KLIR, the Pinnacle Bank Coaches Show starts at 9 a.m. and if the Discoverers win tonight they’ll visit Millard North in the district semifinals at 3:30 p.m.
