Discoverers Girls Golf Wins Season-Opening Event

The Columbus High girls golf team opened its season Thursday by winning a quad tournament at Elks Country Club. 

The Discoverers carded a team score of 372, while Norfolk shot 405, Grand Island had 438 and Fremont posted 444.

Molly Goc led Columbus and was third-best in the event with 86, one stroke better than Discoverers teammate Abby Jensen.  Jersey Odgaard shot a 92. 

CHS will next compete on Tuesday at the Beatrice Invite.
