The Columbus High girls golf team took first place in a triangular yesterday at Norfolk Country Club.
The Discoverers carded a team score of 389, while the Panthers shot a 407 and the Fremont Tigers had a total of 450. Senior Sarah Lasso led Columbus by firing an 80. She finished second on the individual leaderboard, three strokes behind Ansley Giesselman of Fremont.
Two other Discoverers placed in the top five – Molly Goc’s 94 was good for third and Jersey Odgaard finished fourth with a 97. CHS is competing in the Beatrice Invite today.
