Discoverers Finish Second in Unified Bowling State Tourney

Columbus High finished second in the unified bowling Class A state tournament yesterday. 

The fourth-seeded Discoverers defeated Bellevue West 3-0 in the opening match, then knocked off top-seeded Fremont 3-0.  But, CHS fell to third-seeded Lincoln Northeast 3-1 in the championship match. 

In the Class B state tourney, fifth-seeded Lakeview fell to York 3-0 in the opening round.  No. 2 seed North Bend Central topped Bennington 3-1, but fell to Lexington 3-0 in the semifinals.  Seward beat Lex for the Class B title.
