Discoverers Drop Doubleheader, Area Softball Scores
The Columbus High softball club lost in both ends of a doubleheader Tuesday at Lincoln Southwest.
In the opener, the Discoverers led 4-1 going into the bottom of the fourth inning when the Silver Hawks erupted for seven runs, which accounted for the final score of 8-4. The host team took the nightcap 10-2.
Columbus High is 0-4 with all of its losses coming on the road. The Discoverers hit the highway again for a game at Omaha Westside tomorrow night.
Other scores last night: Aquinas fell to Bishop Neumann 8-3, Central City routed Polk County 13-1, Twin River lost to NEN 10-3, and North Bend Central dropped a pair of games, losing to Raymond Central 15-3 and getting blanked by Yutan/Mead 14-0.
